The cartoonist  message of this cartoon is the U.S proposed the Open Door Policy to trade with the China. The U.S. wanted the markets and resources in China that also other nations did. The Open Door Policy is the policy stated that no single county would not have a monopoly on trade with China. The other opinion that another person could have on this issue is the Open Door Policy was unfair to China. Because that affect Boxer Rebellion that many Chinese people angered by foreigners'’ behavior on their culture. This cartoon used exaggeration that Uncle Sam is bigger than other Chinese people. Also this cartoon used labeling that “The Open Door” which represent the door between America and China. This cartoon support my pro-imperialism position.
